Student Writing Assessment Training II

Six Traits of Writing - How to get started with analytic writing assessment and instruction.

The GTCC's SWAT II focuses on a basic understanding of the 6 trait writing model. The traits of good writing are ideas, organization, voice, word choice, sentence fluency, and conventions. These six traits in five modes of writing: descriptive, narrative, expository, imaginative, and persuasive are the mode that many standardized tests such as the ACT are using for their writing assessments.
