TITLE:	Step Up to Writing 3^rd Edition
DESCRIPTION:	Step Up to Writing can be used quickly and applies to all subjects.  Step Up strategies can be used throughout the day for all kinds of assignments. Students learn to visualize each academic task through multisensory instruction, such as color-coding the parts of a paragraph or report or using paper folds to visually separate information on a page.  The focus of these approaches is to promote the goal of all good writing: clear communication.

TIME:	8:30 a.m.-Noon and 1:00 p.m.-5:00 p.m. daily
LOCATION:	Great Falls, MT

ENROLLMENT:	Limit of 25
CREDIT:	15 OPI renewal units OR 1 graduate credit through Montana State University-Northern. MSU-N will charge $130.00 for this credit which is paid at the workshop.
EXPENSES:	Participants will be responsible for travel, lodging, and meals.
FEE POLICY:	$40.00 per participant if GTCC member  / $100.00 per participant if not a GTCC member  Please submit registration fees by June 1, 2009.  If we have not received your payment by June 1^st, and the workshop is full, you will be bumped should we receive registration with payment from another registrant.  If you are bumped from a workshop you will be notified.  After June 1^st registration fees must be sent at the time of registration.  NO refunds after June 1, 2009.
SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS:	Participants need to purchase the Teacher’s Edition and Tools Binder for the appropriate grade level.  Materials can be purchased from Sopris West and should be the 3^rd Edition.
