TITLE:

Creating Math Lessons Using Smartboards

DESCRIPTION:

A two day hands-on workshop creating math lessons using Smartboards.  From opening warm-ups to entire lessons, participants will create materials using Smart Notebook software,   Internet sites, curriculum materials, and other resources.  Prior experience with the Smartboard is not required.  Assignments will be completed during class time and shared with all participants. Everyone will leave with ready to use lessons!

8:30 a.m.-Noon and 1:00 p.m.-5:00 p.m. daily

ENROLLMENT:

Limit of 20

CREDIT:

15 OPI renewal units OR 1 graduate credit through Montana State University-Northern. MSU-N will charge $130.00 for this credit which is paid at the workshop.

EXPENSES:

Participants will be responsible for travel and lodging.  Lunch will be provided.

FEE POLICY:

$40.00 per participant if GTCC member  / $100.00 per participant if not a GTCC member 

Please submit registration fees by June 1, 2009.  If we have not received your payment by June 1st, and the workshop is full, you will be bumped should we receive registration with payment from another registrant.  If you are bumped from a workshop you will be notified.  After June 1st registration fees must be sent at the time of registration.  NO refunds after June 1, 2009.

SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS:

Participants are encouraged to bring a laptop with Smart software installed, a USB flashdrive, and their current math textbook.  Computers will be available to the first 10 participants who don’t have one.  Smartboards will be available in several classrooms to practice on.
