TITLE:

Integrating Music and Art Across the Curriculum

DESCRIPTION:

Compelling evidence supports the position that, when implemented properly, the arts can provide a positive, significant, and lasting benefit to learners.  Come and learn the latest brain research as it is related to the arts and cognition.  Many practical, ready-to-use classroom strategies for incorporating the arts at all levels will be shared in this two day, enjoyable, engaging workshop.

8:30 a.m.-Noon and 1:00 p.m.-5:00 p.m. daily

ENROLLMENT:

Limit of 25

CREDIT:

15 OPI renewal units OR 1 graduate credit through Montana State University-Northern. MSU-N will charge $130.00 for this credit which is paid at the workshop.

EXPENSES:

Participants will be responsible for travel, lodging, and meals.

FEE POLICY:

$40.00 per participant if GTCC member  / $100.00 per participant if not a GTCC member 

Please submit registration fees by June 1, 2009.  If we have not received your payment by June 1st, and the workshop is full, you will be bumped should we receive registration with payment from another registrant.  If you are bumped from a workshop you will be notified.  After June 1st registration fees must be sent at the time of registration.  NO refunds after June 1, 2009.

SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS:

The grade for this class, if taken for college credit, will not be posted by MSU-Northern until fall semester.  That is their policy for classes offered after July 31.
