TITLE:

Incorporating Technology into Everyday Lessons

DESCRIPTION:

Teachers will learn how to incorporate technology to:

  • Organize classroom data (ex. Classroom data, classroom lists, progress monitor, DIBELS/AimsWeb, RtI)
  • Find and incorporate visual aids into everyday lessons (ex. Maps, diagrams, pictures, websites)
  • Use common classroom items to help students succeed (ex. Eggspert, Alphasmart, calculators, assistive technology)
  • Create PowerPoint presentations to present information to students
  • Meet GTCC and State Technology Standards

8:30 a.m.-Noon and 1:00 p.m.-5:00 p.m. daily

Shelby High School Computer Lab  Room 216

ENROLLMENT:

Limit of 25

CREDIT:

15 OPI renewal units OR 1 graduate credit through Montana State University-Northern. MSU-N will charge $130.00 for this credit which is paid at the workshop.

EXPENSES:

Participants will be responsible for travel, lodging, and meals.

FEE POLICY:

$40.00 per participant if GTCC member  /  $100.00 per participant if not a GTCC member 

Please submit registration fees by June 1, 2009.  If we have not received your payment by June 1st, and the workshop is full, you will be bumped should we receive registration with payment from another registrant.  If you are bumped from a workshop you will be notified.  After June 1st registration fees must be sent at the time of registration.  NO refunds after June 1, 2009.
