Workshop 0922

TITLE:

School Wide Social Skills Instruction: Teaching All Kids to be "Cool Kids"

DESCRIPTION:

Research-based techniques and practical school-based activities are combined in a program that not only makes a positive difference for students, but also makes “life easier”, more productive, more joyful for the adults who live and work within that school.

Focusing on the “who, what, where and how” of social development through social skill instruction, this workshop will provide participants strategies which can be used with students of all ages and can be implemented either in an individual classroom or on a school-wide basis.  Procedures for developing, acknowledging, correcting and maintaining social skills and socially responsible behavior will be discussed and modeled.
