TITLE:

Living and Learning through the Seasons: Integrating Indian Ed for All into the Core Curriculum

DESCRIPTION:

Learn how to integrate Indian Ed for All into a year-long intercultural exploration structured around a traditional Native seasonal round.  Participants will explore how to embed core K-5 curriculum with tribal and other cultural perspectives using a process modeled after a place-based curriculum that is centered on the Salish seasonal round.

ENROLLMENT:

Limit of 25

CREDIT:

15 OPI renewal units OR 1 graduate credit through Montana State University-Northern. MSU-N will charge $130.00 for this credit which is paid at the workshop.

EXPENSES:

Participants will be responsible for travel, lodging, and meals.

FEE POLICY:

$40.00 per participant if GTCC member  / $100.00 per participant if not a GTCC member 

Please submit registration fees by June 1, 2009.  If we have not received your payment by June 1st, and the workshop is full, you will be bumped should we receive registration with payment from another registrant.  If you are bumped from a workshop you will be notified.  After June 1st registration fees must be sent at the time of registration.  NO refunds after June 1, 2009.

SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS:

The grade for this class, if taken for college credit, will not be posted by MSU-Northern until fall semester.  That is their policy for classes offered after July 31.
