DESCRIPTION:

The research is indisputable:  Students are less disruptive and do better academically in schools that cultivate the internal motivation of students.  This symposium will cover everything you need to know to change the dynamics of learning in your classroom or school, including research on motivation, case studies of strategies for activating internal motivation at every level, suggestions on how to assess degrees of student motivation, and guidelines for integrating the principles of internal motivation with standards based instruction.

CREDIT:

15 OPI renewal units OR 1 continuing education credit through Montana State University- Northern. MSU-N will charge $120 for this credit. Registration and payment information will be provided when the OBS starts.

EXPENSES:

Participants will be responsible for purchasing the book.

FEE POLICY:

$25.00 per participant if GTCC member  /  $40.00 per participant if not a GTCC member 

Please submit registration fees by June 4, 2008.  If we have not received your payment by June 4^th , and the workshop is full, you will be bumped should we receive registration with payment from another registrant.  If you are bumped from a workshop you will be notified.  After June 4^th registration fees must be sent at the time of registration.  NO refunds after June 4, 2008.
