DESCRIPTION:

The new Montana Science Standards requires teachers and students to utilize Scientific Inquiry Methods.  The American Association for the Advancement of Science, the National Research Council, and the National Science Teachers Association all assert the importance of promoting scientific literacy through the perspectives and methods of inquiry.  Llewellyn offers a complete plan for nurturing a culture of inquiry in classrooms and schools. Drawing from current research, case studies, and personal anecdotes, Llewellyn offers ready-to-use inquiry lessons and teacher-friendly materials for students in grades 3–8.

ENROLLMENT:

CREDIT:

15 OPI renewal units OR 1 continuing education credit through Montana State University- Northern. MSU-N will charge $120 for this credit. Registration and payment information will be provided when the OBS starts.

EXPENSES:

Participants will be responsible for purchasing the book.

FEE POLICY:

$25.00 per participant if GTCC member  /  $40.00 per participant if not a GTCC member 

Please submit registration fees by June 4, 2008.  If we have not received your payment by June 4th , and the workshop is full, you will be bumped should we receive registration with payment from another registrant.  If you are bumped from a workshop you will be notified.  After June 4th registration fees must be sent at the time of registration.  NO refunds after June 4, 2008.
