Workshop 1813
TITLE:
Montana Science Standards Unit Development Summer Institute
DESCRIPTION:
As Montana schools transition to new Montana Science Standards teachers across the state are working hard to transform their lessons, units, and instruction to match the increased rigor and three-dimensional nature of the standards. Participants will engage in a brief overview of the three-dimensions established by A Framework for K - 12 Science Education (the Framework), explore key structures and strategies to include in their instruction to support the three-dimensions, and will have time and space to build a unit aligned to all three-dimensions of the Framework. Teachers will leave this workshop prepared to continue this unit development process for additional high-quality units that are strongly aligned to the New Montana Science standards.
