Workshop 201
TITLE:
Inspired Hands-On Learning Math, Science and Social Studies for Rural and Multi-grade Classrooms
DESCRIPTION:
Get ready to cut, glue, act, play and learn! Participants will leave this two day workshop with many varied and useful ideas ready to implement. We will make and take several projects for Math, Science, and Social Studies, that will accommodate Grades K-8. Math games and hands-on activities, where the learner is involved in the classroom, are a great way to make learning fun and engaging. These activities also help your students to develop a positive attitude towards math at an early age. Structured hands-on activities, which the teacher guides, help students develop a meaningful understanding of science concepts. Participants will learn many ways to connect Social Studies to their students' lives using maps, stories, role play and much more. These lessons will inspire you and spark your teaching with creativity in a different way.
