TITLE:

Creating, Teaching & Learning with Seesaw

DESCRIPTION:

In this course, participants will be guided through Seesaw learning modules that will teach them the basics of Seesaw, including getting started, getting students & families connected & creating activities. The second day of this workshop will delve into more advanced uses of Seesaw and activity creation, with time given for participants to set up their classes and create activities to use in their classrooms. The instructor will share other favorite digital tools to use in conjunction with Seesaw. This course will include information on using Seesaw for remote learning, as well as for face to face instruction. Educators will leave with a working knowledge of using Seesaw as a digital portfolio and communication tool, as well as several activities created and ready to use in their classrooms.

Requirements outlined in this syllabus are only for those taking the class for college credit.

OPI Renewal Units OR Continuing Education Credits (through MSU-Northern) will be available. 1 summer semester credit for a 2-day workshop. Price is $150.00 and must be paid in advance through Brianna.

EXPENSES:

Participants will be responsible for travel, lodging, and meals.

REGISTRATION POLICY:

$40.00 per participant if GTCC member / $100.00 per participant if not a GTCC member.

SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS:

Participants need to have a Computer and/or iPad to participate. It would also be helpful to bring curriculum materials if you would like to spend time creating lessons or activities for your classrooms.
