GTCC Summer Institute 2019
Workshop 1912
TITLE:
Picture Enhancing Your Curriculum With Books
DESCRIPTION:
Picture books are a way to add fun to teaching point of view, figurative language, problem solution, etc. Teachers don’t alway have time to read new books or to find the right one to put into a lesson...this class, lead by experienced K-12 librarian, can help with that. You will leave this workshop with a developed lesson plan(s) incorporating picture books to teach a specific concept. You will also have time to create resource lists for concepts within your curriculum. This librarian will also guide you in a class field trip to Barnes & Noble.
