TITLE:
Incorporating Yoga and Mindfulness in Your K-12 Classroom
DESCRIPTION:
Yoga and mindfulness are gaining popularity in classrooms across the country, and for good reason! Studies have found that including yoga in the classroom improves students’ behavior, mental state, and academic performance; supports teacher resilience and fosters a positive classroom climate; enhances mind-body awareness and increases self-regulation skills; as well as develops students’ physical fitness and health. Join K-8 school teacher and yoga instructor, Ashley Sherburne, in a fun workshop that will provide you with practical knowledge, tools and skills needed to implement yoga and mindfulness in your classroom.

CREDIT:
15 OPI renewal units OR 1 graduate credit through Montana State University-Northern. MSU-N will charge $150.00 for this credit which is paid at the workshop.
EXPENSES:
Participants will be responsible for travel, lodging, and meals.
REGISTRATION POLICY:
$40.00 per participant if GTCC member / $100.00 per participant if not a GTCC member.
