Workshop: 2132

TITLE:

Using Nature to Teach Science

DESCRIPTION:

This course will help you take learning OUTSIDE and bring the outdoors IN. Montana Outdoor Science School has been helping kids and adults learn from nature since 1994. As a former instructor, current Education Director and certified Master Naturalist, Molly Ward is well-qualified to help you get to know your school yard in a brand new way. The class will bring you new resources, sense of place, nature journaling techniques and tips on outdoor classroom management. We will also explore classroom animals - MOSS has several animal ambassadors and some may make guest appearances. We will be outside for the class and spend a lot of time learning through exploration and hands-on activities.
