TITLE:

More Time Teaching, Less Time Disciplining

DESCRIPTION:

This 2-day workshop will explore techniques to maximize teacher instruction and increase positive student engagement. Participants will develop the classroom management skills necessary to take full control of time and resources, redirecting energy consumed by dealing with student misbehavior into positive, productive learning. In addition, evidence-based practices will be presented to promote active student engagement academically, socially, emotionally, and physically. You will leave this workshop with the skills to keep your focus on teaching and the students’ focus on learning.

Requirements outlined in this syllabus are only for those taking the class for college credit.

OPI Renewal Units OR Continuing Education Credits (through MSU-Northern) will be available. 1 summer semester credit for a 2-day workshop. Price is $150.00 and will be paid at the workshop.

EXPENSES:

Participants will be responsible for travel, lodging, and meals.

REGISTRATION POLICY:

$40.00 per participant if GTCC member / $100.00 per participant if not a GTCC member.  

REGISTRATION IS CONFIRMED UPON RECEIPT OF PAYMENT ONLY.
