TITLE:

2020: Every Child Deserves Art

DESCRIPTION:

This course offers hands-on activities for art integration in your classrooms K-12. Art integration is research based and helps students solidify their understanding of core subjects being taught in Math, Science, Language Arts and History. Participants will watch and participate in class discussions that involve the basic concepts of using art integration in the K-12 classrooms. From these lessons, participants will produce works of art that demonstrate their learning of core standards using the art standards.  Join Melanie as she expands your understanding of the arts in this fun, hands-on class!

CREDIT:

OPI Renewal Units OR Continuing Education Credits (through MSU-Northern) will be available. 1 summer semester credit for a 2-day workshop. Price is $150.00 and must be paid in advance through Brianna.

EXPENSES:

Participants will be responsible for travel, lodging, and meals.

REGISTRATION POLICY:

$40.00 per participant if GTCC member / $100.00 per participant if not a GTCC member.  

REGISTRATION IS CONFIRMED UPON RECEIPT OF PAYMENT ONLY.  Registration and payment accepted online www.gtccmt.org, or mail to 869 Tumbleweed Lane, Deer Lodge, MT 59722.  If the workshop is full before payment is received, you will be refunded.  NO refunds after May 31, 2020.

SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS:

Bring a willingness to explore in the visual arts. No prior art experience is necessary.
