Workshop 220

TITLE:

Integrating Social Emotional Learning (SEL) & Trauma-Informed Practices

DESCRIPTION:

Social emotional learning is an integral part of a well-rounded education. Our students must acquire the necessary knowledge and skills to manage their emotions, feel and show empathy, maintain positive relationships, set goals, and make responsible decisions. This process can be difficult, given trauma and other setbacks our students face. In this course, you will learn what knowledge and skills our students need, how to teach and facilitate those skills, and how to meet the needs of all learners using social-emotional learning and trauma-informed practices.
